What examples of
synergy with other products/merchandise can you find?
Sony was responsible for the marketing of Spectre. During the making of the film, they combined Sony products and included it in the film. An example of cross media convergence that was used was the social networking platform and the film industry coming together. The app Snapchat is a form of social media which is very popular in today's society. James Bond's 'Spectre' film is the first brand to get its own Snapchat Discover channel allowing users to see more Spectre action such as behind the scene Bond footage of Spectre, cast interviews and sendable filters.

Spectre: Marketing campaign
The film 'Spectre' has a release date of 26 October 2015 in the UK. They have used various different types of advertising to promote this film in order to make it well known. This could include word of mouth as well as TV, print and online advertisements etc. I will be discussing and presenting the aspects that I have explored for the marketing campaign over this period of time which has been before and after the release of Spectre.
"For one day only, Snapchat will be the one-stop shop for Spectre content, including photos and behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the incredible movie," Sony Pictures marketing exec Dwight Caine told Deadline.
This is an article on 'The Verge' which is about the Spectre Discover channel on Snapchat.

Another way in which they have advertised the movie 'Spectre', is that James Bond will be drinking luxury Belvedere Vodka in the film as a result of a global marketing partnership.
The screen shot above shows the TV Commercial for the drink Heineken which has been based around the upcoming film, Spectre. Heineken has produced a new TV advertisement featuring Daniel Craig as James Bond, in a high speed boat chase. Heineken's Spectre campaign is the brands largest global marketing platform of 2015. This is another brand which has helped promote Spectre.
